Acupuncture:

Ian Armstrong
Located in Kearney Mesa
504-931-7207

Ian specializes in sports medicine and orthopedic acupuncture. He is an instructor at PCOM as well as the Sports Medicine Certification Program (SMAC), has worked with many professional sports teams, and is one of the most knowledgeable acupuncturists I know, as well as someone who is constantly exploring other modalities to put into his wheelhouse. Great guy, and I feel confident sending my most complex and challenging clients to him knowing they will be in excellent and competent hands.

David Mishoulam
Located in Kearney Mesa
https://www.davidmishoulamlac.com/

David actually studied under Ian Armstrong and assisted many of his orthopedic acupuncture classes at PCOM, and currently teaches Eastern Nutrition classes there. He is an amazing practitioner whom I’ve known him for years, and it’s been a pleasure and inspiration watching him grow within his field. He has many acupuncture styles in his wheelhouse and offers nutrition planning for his clients, and is adept at determining which is the best fit for each client as well as switching them up if one isn’t getting the results desired. Everyone I’ve sent to him has been impressed with his skillsets and the results they have received from his sessions!

Simone Ressner
Source Empowered Wellness, Pacific Beach
619-761-9544

Simone has created a wonderful healing space for community acupuncture, and she has built up a talented group of healers of many different disciplines that offer quality and affordable sessions.  I have known Simone for many years, first as a yoga instructor, then a Thai massage therapist, and finally as a talented acupuncturist.  She draws from many different sources of knowledge and is highly intuitive, and it’s been a pleasure watching her grow within her field!

Chiropractic:

Emily Mayo
Mayo Chiropractic, Pacific Beach
https://mayochiropractic.com/
619-693-6389

I came to hear about Emily from several of my clients and fellow therapists, all telling me about her vast experience and skills as a chiropractor and how much relief she was able to bring to them.  I finally went in and scheduled a session with her, and I was highly impressed with her knowledge of the body, her adjustment skills, and her toolbox of exercises and stretches that she had to give clients after the session!

Jeff Greenlee
The Joint, Fenton Parkway
https://www.thejoint.com/california/san-diego/mission-valley-31009
(619) 313-4893

I’ve had the good fortune to share an office building with Jeff in the past. I’m a bit picky with my chiropractors, but it was very clear that Jeff was very results-oriented and more interested in correcting the root of the problem than having a lifelong weekly client. He also helps give clients homework to help them hold the adjustments and correct the dysfunction that caused the problem in the first place. He’s an amazing practitioner and I feel very happy knowing that the clients I send his way will be well-cared for.

Manual Therapy:

Dr Megan Marie, ND/CST
https://www.drmeganmarie.com/

Dr Marie studied Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University, and is a full Naturopathic doctor. Her primary treatment modality is craniosacral therapy, and she is remarkably intuitive and has an immense amount of knowledge at her disposal. She is able to treat a variety of issues with her patients and put together individualized health care plans for each person she works with. I have received several sessions from her, and her work has helped me a great deal with some lingering post-Covid symptoms I have been experiencing. I highly recommend her work, she is both highly competent as well as a wonderfully nurturing and compassionate person!

Neille Solomon
http://anewbodymassage.com/massage-services/

I have known Neille for years, and he’s one of the best structural integration therapists I’ve worked with. He’s highly intuitive and educated, and he consistently gets great results with his clients and those I’ve sent over to him if I have been out of the office or wasn’t able to see a new client quickly enough. He’s very warm and engaging and has a wonderful sensitivity to identify and address energetic imbalances as well as structural issues. I highly recommend him and his work!

Running Clubs:

San Diego Track Club
www.sdtc.com

I've been a member of the San Diego Track Club for over 5 years, and it is truly a special organization.  The coach Paul Greer (a world-class runner in his own right), fosters a feeling of community among club members. He divides the workouts into different groups, from people who have never run in their lives to elite runners who have been running for years, so that everyone can train within their abilities and grow accordingly.  Come check them out!

Strength and Movement Training:

Jonathan Pierce
Novos Athlete, Kearney Mesa
https://www.novosathlete.com/

Jonathan has been one of San Diego’s premiere manual therapists/trainers/injury diagnosis and recovery/performance coaches for many years. He’s simply one of the most knowledgeable practitioners I’ve ever worked with, and he has a lot of skillsets that you would normally have to find spread out amongst several different practitioners. He was a high-caliber athlete himself and in the past ran for Stanford and trained at the Olympic Training Center (among other things), so he’s very familiar with all aspects of what it takes to perform at a very high level as well as how to unravel some of the most complex cases in athletic injury and dysfunction. Truly a remarkable practitioner, and someone I have had the good fortune to know and learn from over the years.

Benjamin Kleinert
Longevity, Kearney Mesa
https://longevity-sd.com/

Ben has been a strength and conditioning specialist since 2014, and is always seeking to expand his repertoire of knowledge to bring even more insight and experience to his practice. He has many different modalities in his wheelhouse to help his clients overcome pain and dysfunction and help them move with greater ease. He also works with athletes looking to raise the bar on their athletic performance. I’ve known him for years, and I’m always impressed with his knowledge, professional growth, and passion for his work!

Kimberly McNeil
Scend Fitness, Solana Beach
https://www.scendfitness.com/kimberly-mcneil

Kim is one of those rare practitioners who has an incredible knowledge and list of credentials with anatomical, functional, pain treatment, and specific movement education, as well as being one of the most intuitive and energy-perceptive people I know. She has a dedicated chi gong and ne gong practice, and is an aikido instructor as well. She blends these skillsets in a unique results-driven way with every client, and helps them discover new movement patterns within themselves as well as adding her expertise to correct dysfunction and pain patterns to help her clients move better and be more resilient. She is truly one of the most knowledgeable and capable practitioners I know.

Andy Hsieh
Movement Reborn, Sorrento Valley
https://movementreborn.com/aboutandy

I’ve recently met Andy through clients we had in common. I kept hearing from them about this incredible movement guy who was helping them get past old injuries when other therapists hadn’t yielded results. When I finally met him and started talking to him, I realized that he was indeed a very special practitioner. He’s a great listener and observer, and is always curious about how to modify and tweak specific exercises and movements for each of his clients. And I can tell when our common clients have seen him recently as they have maintained and improved on the progress we had made in our work. Great guy, very skillful, humble, and always growing with his work!
