My name is James Armour. I am a Diplomate-certified craniosacral therapist through Upledger (CST-D), as well as a Nationally Board-Certified (BCETMB) and California State-Certified (CAMTC) massage therapist in San Diego. I have been practicing professionally since 1999, and during that time I have worked with high-end spas, health clinics, professional and Olympic sports athletes and teams, as well as comprehensive and interactive wellness settings. My clients range from elite athletes to weekend warriors, elderly clients, and office workers who sit much of the day.
Currently, my work focuses on injury rehabilitation and correction of structural pathologies, maximizing athletic performance, pain and stress reduction, improving immune function and systemic resilience, and bringing balance and integration to my clients' physical, emotional, and energetic systems. I specialize in neck, head, pelvic, and spinal disorders, as I have found that many problems that present elsewhere actually originate with issues with the central nervous system (CNS). Additionally, I focus on helping clients integrate their physical, mental, energetic, and spiritual systems, and discover their inner resilience and healing capacity so that they can be more self-sufficient moving forward. As many health challenges can be a result of a stored emotion or an energetic imbalance, oftentimes addressing those areas help or resolve the physical pain.
I have studied and incorporate elements of many different modalities, including (but not limited to) Craniosacral Therapy (CST), Visceral Manipulation (VM), deep tissue/structural and myofascial bodywork, nerve entrapment protocols, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), and sports therapy. I also completed the Full Body Active Release Techniques (ART) training in 2016.
I look forward to working with you and helping to facilitate greater health and well-being in your life!
In Gratitude,
James
